A robotically-enhanced tour show with a story

A live Deadmau5 show where the machines take over in real time.

Twenty industrial robots, minimum. Deadmau5 knew he wanted them, he just didn't know how. Working with creative director GMUNK, we designed a show with both narrative and unprecedented spectacle, from a self-disassembling stage to a motion capture controlled imposter-bot.

Over the following months, we collabored with Deadmau5's Creative Director Martin Phillips (creator of the Daft Punk "Alive" tour), working out the details and tuning the story.

A sizzle reel was created for investors. It produced over $14M.

Despite massive momentum, the project was rising as Google’s acquisition of Bot & Dolly became final, and the project was cancelled.

The show also included a promotional campaign previewing the backstory of military robots shoddily repurposed for mundane domestic tasks.
